Cleveland Browns wide receiver and kick returner Josh Cribbs has something he'd like to say.
That's why he's scheduled a press conference for Friday.
Will it be an announcement of a new deal or a gripe session about the absence of a new deal?
Free agency begins Friday morning at 12:01 a.m. EST.
Cribbs is expected to be announcing a new contract since so much progress has been made.
Per the report, Cribbs was already set to appear at the Cleveland Auto Show.
"It's not very often that fans get to hear an announcement from a player in person," Cribbs said in a statement. "And, it's even more unlikely that they're given a chance to speak to that player right after that announcement has been made.
"That's why I'm choosing to have this press conference at the auto show. So that anyone in attendance will have the opportunity to hear what I have to say and the chance to speak with me about it in person."
The Plain Dealer reported that the Browns hadn't heard about a press conference.
It sounds like this thing is on the verge of getting done.
If it isn't or something falls through, Cribbs is probably going to be one angry dude.
