Following allegations that he knocked out a University of Georgia freshman outside a bar in Athens, Ga., Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno won't be facing criminal charges.

According to the Denver Post, the alleged victim has decided to not go ahead with any charges.

"It was determined there was not enough for us to [show] probable cause to continue with the investigation and we have closed the investigation," Athens-Clarke County police department public information assisant Hilda Sorrow said.

Moreno told the Athens Banner-Herald that he was punched while leaving a bar.

The alleged victim, Stephen Anderson, acknowledged that he was inebriated and was filled in on what happened by his friends. Anderson suffered a concussion.

It sounds like the authorities clearly didn't have enough to go on to press charges, but it still sounds like a situation Moreno would be wise to avoid.
