San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson wants to maintain his role as a full-time player.
And he has no intentions of playing for less money if he returns to San Diego.
During a radio interview with San Diego station 1090, Tomlinson said that he "would not take a paycut under any circumstances."
When asked if he thinks he'll return, Tomlinson replied: "I'm not really sure. I can see a lot of things happening. I just kind of leave it open. I spent a lot of years here and enjoy football a lot and enjoy being around the guys in the locker room."
Tomlinson acknowledged that he was unhappy with changes with the organization, but declined to specify what bothered him.
"Things were always there that happened over time," Tomlinson said, adding that the Chargers' playoff loss to the New York Jets brought a lot of issues to the surface. "I didn't feel the unity and togetherness in the locker room at times this season.
"We're at a point where guys come into the league and it's not about the same values anymore. I just can't deal with that kind of stuff."
He stressed that he still feels like he can consistently rush for 1,400 to 1,500 yards.
Tomlinson has been the subject of trade rumors, but it's premature at this point as far as the Chargers making any determination.
According to a league source, the Chargers have yet to hold their internal personnel meetings.
