Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson's mouth has gotten him in big trouble.

The team suspended Johnson for the next two weeks for conduct detrimental to the team after his critical comments of coach Todd Haley and gay slurs directed toward fans and reporters.

He has been banned from the team's training facility and all team activities until Nov. 9, one day after the Chiefs' road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"The Chiefs will have no further comment on Johnson’s status at this time," the team said in a statement released via e-mail tonight.

Suspended for two weeks, Johnson will forfeit two game checks for a total of roughly $660,000 in lost wages.

Johnson issued an apology through his agent, Peter Schaffer, this week. However, the Chiefs had heard enough and opted to punish the outspoken running back.

Johnson told reporters that he wasn't planning on talking until Thursday when the media arrived in the locker room Monday

Then, Johnson reportedly said loud enough to hear: "Get your faggot asses out of here."

As for his remarks about Haley, Johnson wrote on his Twitter account: "My father got more credentials than most of these pro coaches. My father played for the coach from 'rememeber the titans.' Our coach played golf. My father played for redskins briefley. Our coach. Nuthn."

And now Johnson will have "nuthn" in terms of compensation or playing time for the next few weeks as a consequence for his words.
