Tennessee Titans running back LenDale White is hoping to escape from coach Jeff Fisher's doghouse.

One week after being a health scratch as a consequence for being late to a Saturday workout, White is looking to get back on good terms with his coach.

"I hope I can do whatever coach wants me to do," White told the Tennessean. "Whatever I need to do for the team I'll do,' White said. "If that is being deactivated again, that's what it will be. If coach wants me to play, I'll play.'

Why was he late?

White said he informed the organization that he ran out of gas, and that's why he was late for work.

Fisher told reporters regarding White: "He has been fine. It is important to follow club rules and be on time. He has been on time thus far."

White said there's no issue between him and Fisher.

"Jeff is the coach. Whatever the boss says, the boss gets,' White said. "Things don't always happen the way you want to in life, regardless of whether your excuse is legit or not.

"Whatever happened, happened. Now I just want to do what I can to help this team. If they need be, I will be here."

Sounds good.

However, White isn't going to have much of a role as long as star runner Chris Johnson is in the lineup.
