The Kansas City Chiefs have hired former Cleveland Browns executive Trip MacCracken as their new director of football operations.
MacCracken was supplanted last year by Dawn Aponte as the Browns' lead contract negotiator.
He has previous stints with the Washington Redskins and the NFL Management Council.
After graduating from Duke Law School, MacCracken began working for the Browns in 1999 during their first season as an expansion team.
