One of the funnier moments of the NFL scouting combine didn't take place at Lucas Oil Stadium.

It was a "heated argument" between marketing representatives Mike Ornstein and Bill Henkel, who nearly got into a physical confrontation at a downtown Indianapolis bar.

Henkel and Ornstein acknowledged the altercation to Liz Mullen of the Sports Business Journal.

Per the report, Henkel and Ornstein were arguing about Henkel's representation of Ole Miss quarterback Jevan Snead and Illinois wide receiver Arrelious Benn with Henkel making accusations that Ornstein had been critical of him.

"I confronted him on why he is telling people I am recruiting that I am a bad guy," Henkel said. "It was a very quick, heated deal. I think I referred to Orny as 'an old man,' truly in a joking manner, like, 'You are not going to take a swing at me.'"

Meanwhile, Ornstein said there were no punches thrown, characterizing the dispute as a "little disagreement."

it was reportedly broken up by sports agent and former NFL player Vann McElroy.

"He aggressively walked toward me & Vann McElroy interceded & convinced Mike it was probably not a good choice," Henkel said.

It certainly made for a few laughs, though, at the NFL scouting combine.

All of sports would benefit greatly from the removal of the superfluous middlemen that are sports agents.

This is exactly why we need to legalize dueling.

Imagine the NFL Network ratings if these two buffoons had to joust at the combine or, after placing a bandanna end in each of their mouths, had to fight with bowie knives at the fifty for the right to blood suck off the player.

Surely some of the players at the combine were packing heat or blades maybe they should have served them up and offered to serve as seconds.

Winner takes the player....and stash the cash. Times are desperate, a rookie cap coming, the pot of gold at the end of the rookie rainbow is fading faster than Tom Cruise's career.

I still think Mike Ditka and Forrest Greg should sword, or at least fist, fight on ESPN classic. That would be an old school duel, one fought for hate not greed.

It worked for Burr and Hamilton why not for Henkel and Ornstein?

I vote for Bechta and Rosenhaus to have an MMA style throwdown, that would be entertaining.
