The investigation into an alleged assault case against Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable remains in a holding pattern.

According to the Napa County district attorney Gary Lieberstein, the case is stll being reviewed.

No decision on whether charges will be pressed is anticipated for a few days at the soonest.

Raiders assistant coach Randy Hanson has alleged that he was assaulted and threatened by Cable during a training camp altercation.

On his media hotline today, Leiberstein said he has nothing new to discuss and might not have any update until Wednesday or Thursday.

Leiberstein added that he will take his time to reach "the appropriate and just decision."

Cable has denied the charges, but has had very little to say when denying the explosive accusations.
