Mike Nolan is no longer the Denver Broncos' defensive coordinator.
According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, Nolan and Broncos coach Josh McDaniels decided to "mutually part ways," after working together for one season.
An architect of the 3-4 scheme who helped the Broncos improve from 29th to seventh in total defense this season, Nolan could emerge as a candidate for defensive coordinator vacancies with the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.
Nolan is a former San Francisco 49ers head coach who was previously a defensive coordinator with the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Redskins.
