The New England Patriots announced today that they have cut veteran offensive guard Kendall Simmons.
The former Pittsburgh Steelers first-round draft pick was signed earlier this season by the AFC East franchise.
Simmons played in just one game for the Patriots on special teams, but didn't receive any snaps on offense.
Simmons was sidelined for all but four games of of last season with the Steelers due to a major Achilles' tendon injury that ended his season.
