The New England Patriots weren't going to stay banged-up forever.

And they got a lot healthier today as running back Sammy Morris, wide receiver Julian Edelman, safety Brandon Meriweather, linebacker Eric Alexander, offensive tackle Matt Light and center Dan Koppen returned to practice.

"It was certainly good to see most of the guys out there, running around, participating," Patriots coach Bill Belichick told reporters. "Some of those, of course, will be game-time decisions. We'll see how things turned out after practice here and find out how these guys are doing. But it was definitely good to have them back out there, no doubt."

Defensive end Jarvis Green (knee), running back Fred Taylor (right ankle) and wide receiver Brandon Tate (knee) didn't practice.
