The New England Patriots have ruled out offensive lineman Dan Connolly (back), cornerback Terrence Wheatley and safety Matthew Slater (elbow) for Sunday's game against the New York Jets, the team announced.

Wheatley is the Patriots' fifth cornerback.

Connolly is a reserve swing interior player.

Slater is a special-teams fixture.

The Patriots will also be without linebacker Jerod Mayo due to a sprained medial collateral ligament.

Gary Guyton will start in his place.
