In a search for potential reinforcements, the New England Patriots tried out veteran running back Maurice Hicks.
Hicks has bounced around the league, but is known as a good, solid runner with sound hands out of the backfield.
According to a league source, the Patriots also worked out running backs Marcus Mason and Thomas Brown as well as tight ends Rob Myers and Buck Ortega.
No player was immediately signed, though.
