Former Patriots DC expected to wind up in Denver Aaron Wilson
The game of musical chairs involving NFL defensive coordinators is expected to result in former New England Patriots defensive coordinator Dean Pees landing in Denver.
Now that Mike Nolan is out in Denver and expected to join the Miami Dolphins, Pees is expected to reunite with former New England colleague Josh McDaniels.
Pees left the Patriots last week in a mutual parting of the ways, a phrase commonly used to avoid the messiness of a firing.
Pees was hospitalized for shortness of breath following the Patriots' loss to the Houston Texans. He coached New England to a No. 11 defensive ranking.
As for what happened to Nolan after improving the Broncos' defense to No. 7 overall after finishing No. 29 in 2008..
"I can't say anything other than Josh and I mutually agreed to part ways," Nolan told the Denver Post.
McDaniels issued a terse statement:"I have great respect for Mike and wish him success in the future."
