Former Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage offered some harsh criticism of the Browns' new management team of coach Eric Mangini and general manager George Kokinis.
In an interview with the Mobile Press-Register, the current University of Alabama color analyst said that the Browns have ruined quarterbacks Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson and destroyed what Savage was trying to build.
"You don't take a lot of solace in watching a place you leave go downhill further," Savage said. "But they took what we did have going there and they just dismantled that even further. We left two quarterbacks behind that both seem ruined right now.
"They traded a lot of players out of there. I feel for the guys we brought in because they're good players and good people and they're stuck in a situation and can't get out for at least the time being."
Savage remains under contract through 2012 and is being paid roughly $2 million per year.
It's unclear if there's a clause preventing him from criticizing the Browns, but that is usually standard language in severance deals.

There's an old saying - "consider the source".
Savage has no credibility among Browns fans.
