Cornerback admitted that bottle slipped out of his hands Aaron Wilson
San Diego Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie should be charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, police are recommending after filing their investigation with the city attorney today, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Cromartie allegedly hit a man in the head with a champagne bottle on Nov. 23 at a bar following a win over the Denver Broncos.
Although there have been conflicting reports that have made some legal sources wonder aloud if Cromartie will be charge, his admission to police that the bottle "slipped out of his hand," and a subsequent apology on his Twitter account could hurt his chances of emerging unscathed legally.
“I want to apologize to Charger nation and my fans," Cromartie wrote. "There’s sum stuff out abt me that’s not true. It will come out. God Bless.”
It's up to the city attorney to figure out if enough evidence exists to have a strong chance of winning the case or if they should drop the matter altogether.

Why wouldn't he be charged? The man admits that cromartie hit him in the head, cromartie admits that it slipped. A man is bleeding. Put two and two together. Cromartie should be charged with a felony and he has to be doing time.
