Joey Porter didn't only make his trade desire clear during an ESPN television appearance.
He has also relayed that request to Dolphins management that he would like to be traded, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Porter clashed with the coaching staff last season and was benched for one game.
A $1 million roster bonus is due on March 4.
And he's due a $3.8 million base salary for 2010.
By cutting Porter, the Dolphins could make a clean break financially.
As for the one-game benching for going out on a Friday night after skipping two practices, Porter defended himself, saying, “I went out for something to eat on Friday night.”
