Unclear why linebacker isn't playing Aaron Wilson
Miami Dolphins outside linebacker Joey Porter will be a healthy scratch against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Why?
Officially, it's because of a coach's decision, according to the Miami Herald and other South Florida media outlets.
That means that Dolphins coach Tony Sparano has decided to deactivate Porter for non-injury related reasons even though Porter was probable on the injury report with a knee injury.
Sparano said that he doesn't think that Porter was frustrated about not recording a sack since September when asked about the outspoken linebacker on Friday.
There was no indication that Sparano was displeased with Porter's play or attitude.
"I see no frustration," Sparano said. "I don’t think that he’s affected, but what I do see is a guy that’s played in enough football games to know ‘there’s some things I need to do better out there.’
"There’s a lot of things that people say about Joey that are not always favorable, but one of the good things about Joey is the guy’s a pretty good pro. He sees it, he knows. When he sees it, and he knows, he takes it personally."
From his standpoint, Porter said he's not going to change his talkative ways.
"I'm going to be me," Porter said during an NFL Network appearance earlier this week. "That's the good thing you have to like about me. Win, lose or draw I'm going to tell it like it."

One of the things they are saying in New England right now is that Mr. Porter was made irrelevant by a rookie left tackle.
