Ryan says he would be "shocked" to lose to Colts Aaron Wilson
New York Jets coach Rex Ryan provided some vintage swagger heading into his team's AFC championship game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Reminiscent of former Jets quarterback Joe Namath's guarantee, Ryan told the New York Daily News he would be "shocked" if the Jets don't win the game and go to the Super Bowl.
"I'm confident," Ryan said. "There is no question about it We're going into the game expecting to win. I'd be shocked if we don't. Absolutely would be."
Although most would consider the top-seeded Colts to be quite an obstacle, Ryan's brashness knows no boundaries.
"Well, that's okay," Ryan said. "We're taking our football team in. It's not just about one guy. It's about the entire football team. We'll see. I feel great about our football team."
Hey, he's confident. What's the point of going to the playoffs if you don't think you're built to win?

I'll bet Rex doesn't look as good in pantyhose as Joe did.

"Gambling going on at Rick's? I'm shocked, I tell you!" Jets have been an interesting story to date but I believe this is the end of the line for this year. Good future as long as the o line stays healthy. Why did the Chargers keep trying to go downfield, it played right into the Jets hands. Saints will demonstrate how important home field advantage is for dome teams and win handily.
