Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is reportedly having second thoughts about playing in Sunday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens one week removed from suffering a concussion.

Ben RoethlisbergerAPBen Roethlisberger is reportedly considering not playing Sunday due to a concussion.

According to NFL.com, Roethlisberger, who's listed as questionable after participating fully all week in practice, is thinking about sitting out.

Per the report, Roethlisberger told Steelers coach Mike Tomlin today that he's concerned about absorbing another shot to the head after getting hurt last week. Roethlisberger is expected to make a decision on whether to play by Saturday morning.

The Steelers were caught off-guard by this development.

If Roethlisberger is out, the Steelers would be forced to start former Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon.

They worked out Patrick Ramsey and Todd Bouman on Thursday, but didn't sign either player.

Tyler Palko is on the practice squad.

This isn't the first time that Roethlisberger has wavered on whether to play hurt, so this could wind up being much ado about nothing
