Quarterback speaks frankly in television interview Aaron Wilson
During an ESPN interview, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger acknowledged that he was a bad teammate earlier in his career.
"That surprises me," defensive end Brett Keisel told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "That doesn't sound like something he would say."
Here's what Roethlisberger had to say: "I wasn't a good leader early on and I wasn't the best teammate I could've been the first couple of years. I was invincible; I was Superman. I was probably a little too confident, a little too cocky at times."
Per the report, Roethlisberger would isolate himself by eating meals in his dorm room instead of the team cafeteria.
What changed things, though, was a deep chat with backup quarterback with Charlie Batch.
"Some things were easy to hear and some things were tough to hear," Roethlisberger said. "Charlie helped me to become a good teammate and friend to a lot of these guys."

Doesn't surprise me at all... and it's showing more and more on the field. His teammates go to the wall for him each and every snap.
