Running back to miss game, linebacker returns from healthy scratch Aaron Wilson
Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown isn't expected to play Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers due to a foot injury, coach Tony Sparano announced today.
Brown didn't practice today.
"I will tell you that Ronnie Brown will not play in this game," Sparano said in remarks distributed by the team. "As far as his status goes, we are going to have him see a specialist and we will know more later, but he will not play in this game.”
Ricky Williams is slated to start in Brown's place.
Meanwhile, outside linebacker Joey Porter is expected to return after being deactivated for disciplinary reasons last week.
Sparano said he thinks that Porter will start.
"Joey is going to play," Sparano said.
In his place, Charlie Anderson and Cameron Wake played extremely well. And Porter will need to increase his productivity or his time on the bench could continue.
Has he decided if Porter will start?
"I haven't, but I think he will," Sparano said.
