Pittsburgh Steelers veteran free agent safety Ryan Clark is meeting with the Miami Dolphins tonight, his agent, Joel Turner, confirmed.

"We're looking forward to talking with the Dolphins," Turner said. "We're going to see how it goes and take it from there."

A contract is considered unlikely to be completed tonight.

Clark told the Miami Herald after arriving at the airport that he hopes to sign with the Dolphins and not take any other visits.

"There were a lot of good offers and a lot of good fits," Clark said. "But this seems like a good spot. So I’m praying it goes well."

Clark is a hard-hitting safety with good range and instincts.

Clark would be a nice addition/replacement but the Pats are in the division and ever since he was an outspoken rookie in 07 Belichick and Brady have eaten him alive
