Running back sidelined with knee injury Aaron Wilson
Still recovering from a torn medial collateral ligament, New England Patriots running back Sammy Morris isn't expected to return until another couple of weeks.
Under that time table, Morris would play against the New York Jets.
He would miss games against the Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts.
The Patriots have already lost running back Fred Taylor indefinitely.
So, Laurence Maroney will be counted on to carry the bulk of the workload with Kevin Faulk and Benjarvus Green-Ellis also contributing.
