The Pittsburgh Steelers promoted linebacker Donovan Woods from the practice squad to the active roster.
Woods signed with the Steelers last year as an undrafted rookie free agent from Oklahoma State.
He made the Steelers’ active roster coming out of training camp as a rookie and played in a total of five games before being placed on the team’s practice squad for the remainder of the season.
Woods was in training camp with the Steelers in 2009, but was released during the final preseason roster cuts.
The Steelers cut fourth-year linebacker Arnold Harrison to create a roster spot for Woods. Harrison had recorded seven special teams tackles for the Steelers this season.
