The Pittsburgh Steelers signed two defensive veterans, linebacker Rocky Boiman and cornerback Corey Ivy, today, the team announced.
Boiman is a former Tennessee Titans fourth-round draft pick who has recorded 197 career tackles and three forced fumbles in eight seasons, including stints with the Indianapolis Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ivy was cut by the Cleveland Browns before the regular season after playing with the Baltimore Ravens the previous three seasons. Ivy, who has 209 career tackles, 9 1/2 sacks, three interceptions and 96 special-teams tackles in nine seasons, has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the St. Louis Rams.
The Steelers also signed offensive guard Jonathan Palmer to the practice squad afte cutting running back Justin Vincent.
The defending Super Bowl champions cut linebacker Donavan Woods and cornerback Keiwn Ratliff to make room for Boiman and Ivy.
