Source: Ravens linebacker has mild MCL tear in right knee Aaron Wilson
OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl outside linebacker is out at least two to three weeks with a slightly torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee, according to a league source.
This is a much better prognosis than what was originally feared with initial concerns that he could be out as long as four to six weeks or possible for the entire remainder of the season.
Of course, how long Suggs will be out will depend on his rehabilitation schedule, how fast he heals and how long it takes to get back into football shape following his convalescence.
Suggs underwent a magnetic resonance imaging exam today after injuring his knee when Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn hit him with an illegal low block during the Ravens' 16-0 win Monday night.
