Limited to two catches, 20 yards against Patriots Aaron Wilson
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens' season of frustration and unproductivity continues.
He caught only two passes for 20 yards during a loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday.
"Again, I've had this statement all year," Owens said. "I'm just going with the plays that are called. If I can't really get the ball in my hands to do anything, what can you do?"
Owens' first catch was on the Bills' initial drive of the game, so he was dormant for the majority of the rest of the game.
"You try to stay patient," Owens said. "It's just disappointing to be in this offense and know you can play and not really being utilized the way you can to help the team.
"All I can do keep plugging ahead. I practice hard and try to do all the necessary things I can do and when my opportunities are there, try to make plays. Other than that, I really have no answers."
Signed to a one-year contract this offseason with much fanfare, including being presented the key to the city of Buffalo, Owens has totaled only 47 receptions for 725 yards and four touchdowns.
"It's just disappointing knowing you're not in the playoffs at this point, but you're trying to go out on a high note and have something to play for," Owens said. "Right now, it's nothing but pride. I don't know what the answer is."
