Defensive tackle sent to Panthers for 2010 fifth-rounder Aaron Wilson
The Kansas City Chiefs unloaded defensive tackle Tank Tyler tonight, trading him to the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers sent a 2010 fifth-round draft pick in exchange for Tyler.
Tyler played collegiately at North Carolina State, so this represents a homecoming for him.
Tyler was drafted by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2007 NFL draft. He played in 15 games as a rookie with one start.
During his second year, Tyler, 24, started every game and registered 41 tackles.
The 6-foot-2, 306-pounde has 74 career tackles in 19 starts. He has started twice this season, registering 22 tackles.
