Quarterback making some adjustments to his mechanics Aaron Wilson
University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow is overhauling his throwing delivery.
Tebow drew heavy criticism at the Senior Bowl for his slow windup and release.
Now, he's working to change his mechanics significantly, according to ESPN.
Per the report, Tebow plans to unveil the changes at his Pro Day workout.
He won't throw this week at the NFL scouting combine.
Tebow isn't a traditional quarterback prospect, but was extremely effective at the collegiate level with a Heisman Trophy and two national championships.
However, he's not a polished prostyle quarterback.
And that's expected to affect his draft stock negatively.
So, he's making some changes, working in conjunction with coaches Zeke Bradkowski, Marc Trestman, Noel Mazzone and Sam Wyche, in an effort to adjust to the next level.
"I'm not changing who I am or how I approach football," Tebow told ESPN. "But there are things that I can get a lot better at -- my fundamentals. I've never been asked to shorten or quicken my release and not have a loop in it. The changes I'm making have gone very well and it's becoming more and more natural to me.
"I want to get better. I want to be around people who will push me. I will do anything to get better. Without hearing the criticism, I would have done it. It's made me more confident, more accurate. And that's not to say I haven't had this type of coaching in the past. I just have had different coaching than this NFL style."

Hopefully Trestman, Wyche and Mazzone are also working with Tim on reading defenses and learning defensive tendencies from various looks. I have no doubt that he can become a decent QB but it will take exception strides to become more than that.
Gino Torretta and Chris Weinke also were effective and won Heisman's but that didn't make them NFL QB's,
Tebow may be an H-Back/TE at best.

Being aware of his mechanics is the first step to changing them. He is showing continued coachability. Tebow's reads will accelerate with Trestman's consultation. Wyche had some success with a lefty slinger named Boomer, he has a better perspective of ways to reinforce confidence. That confidence is a Tebow strength, one that Meyer used to install the same kind of confidence into the Gators game plan and execution.
