Thin on depth at cornerback, the winless Tennessee Titans made a move today to address the situation.
They cut third quarterback Patrick Ramsey and promoted cornerback Cary Williams from the practice squad to the active roster in advance of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars
Williams is a seventh-round draft pick from last year who was signed to the practice squad this week.
He had been cut recently to create a roster spot for punter Reggie Hodges, who has replaced veteran Craig Hentrich.
Starting cornerback Cortland Finnegan (hamstring) is doubtful and nickel back Vince Fuller (broken forearm) is out. That's expected to increase the workload for rookie cornerbacks Ryan Mouton and Jason McCourty.
Now, the Titans have just two quarterbacks on the roster in starter Kerry Collins and backup Vince Young.
