Baltimore Ravens backup quarterback Troy Smith's agent requested a trade during the final weeks of the regular season.

The response from the Ravens? Pretty much silence.

Smith isn't believed to have to have much, if any, trade value.

That hasn't stopped Smith from continuing to discuss the possibility of playing for another team.

During an interview with ESPN Radio in Cleveland, the former Heisman Trophy winner from Ohio State said he would like playing for his hometown team: the Browns.

"There is no doubt about it," Smith said. "It has always been a childhood dream of mine. It's funny how we always talk about Cleveland. That's the first thing that comes to mind with anything I do whether I get a chance to come home and be a part of that organization or not.

"You know, I would love to get that chance if that opportunity comes up, but the political and right thing to say in this situation is that I would love to be anywhere that would give me a chance. But, without a doubt, there would be no second guessing in my mind if I could come back home and be a part of something that I love."

Smith's good friend and former Ohio State teammate, Buffalo Bills safety Donte Whitner, recently lobbied on his Twitter account for the Bills to acquire Smith.

Where will Smith play in 2010? Barring some unforeseen development, he'll be backing up Joe Flacco in Baltimore.
