With tight end Kevin Boss dealing with his third concussion in two years, the result of a hit by Carolina Panthers safety Sherrod Martin that has New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin steaming, the team has added some help.

The Giants have promoted Bear Pascoe from its practice squad. Pascoe, a Fresno State product, was a sixth-round draft pick last year by the San Francisco 49ers.

To make room for Pascoe, the team placed linebacker Bryan Kehl on waivers.

The hope is that Boss will recover fully and quickly.
