With the 47th pick in the draft, the Dallas Cowboys select…

Gavin Escobar, TE, San Diego State Aztecs (6-6, 254 pounds)

Even with long-time tight end Jason Witten on the roster, the Cowboys make a wise move drafting San Diego State tight end Gavin Escobar. He and Witten will give the Cowboys two play-making tight ends and eventually, Escobar can serve as the replacement for Witten. A very tall tight end with deceptive speed and route running ability, Escobar has the hands and adjustment ability to be an impact receiving tight end.
