Week 10 of the college football season kicked off Tuesday night with Northern Illinois' exciting 63-60 win over Toledo.

But all eyes are focused on Tuscaloosa, the scene of the much-anticipated matchup between LSU and Alabama on Saturday night.

There are plenty of intriguing games on the slate this week, so let's take an early look at what to expect in the tenth week of the season.

Saturday, November 5

Michigan at Iowa: The Hawkeyes wasted a huge day from running back Marcus Coker last week as they suffered a bad loss to Minnesota, a team that was winless in Big Ten play. Kirk Ferentz's squad may be going through a down year, but Michigan cannot overlook this game as it attempts to claim the Legends division crown.

Texas Tech at Texas: A week after upsetting Oklahoma in Norman, Texas Tech looked awful in a terrible loss to Iowa State. Can the Red Raiders rediscover their upset magic? Meanwhile, the Longhorns shut out Kansas last week and hopes to continue to put its humiliating loss to Oklahoma behind them.

Charlie Strong has his Louisville squad playing its best football of the season.

Louisville at West Virginia: Any game in the Big East is seemingly crucial to the conference race, but the Cardinals are playing their best football of the season. But can new coordinator Shawn Watson dial up enough offense to keep up with the Mountaineers' prolific attack?

Texas A&M at Oklahoma: The Sooners bounced back from their lone loss in a big way last week against Kansas State. Meanwhile, the Aggies continued their underachieving ways in a loss to Missouri. Will A&M defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter be able to stop the Sooners' explosive offensive attack?

South Carolina at Arkansas: Eventually, the Razorbacks' slow starts will catch up with them. But the Gamecocks have problems of their own, having to play without star running back Marcus Lattimore for the rest of the season. Quarterback Connor Shaw will have to make some plays to keep up with the Arkansas offensive attack, led by signal-caller Tyler Wilson.

LSU at Alabama: Every college football fan is just hoping that this game lives up to the hype. We all know how good the defenses are for both teams, but I'm intrigued to see if the Tigers continue to open things up offensively. They may have played their best game of the season before the bye week against Auburn. Meanwhile, Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron has continued to mature. He will need to make a few plays down the field in this one, but does 'Bama have enough weapons on the outside against the LSU secondary?

Kansas State at Oklahoma State: The Wildcats could not slow down the Sooners last week in their first loss of the season. Brandon Weeden and Co. pose another difficult test, and this time K-State will be on the road.

Oregon at Washington: Will Ducks head coach Chip Kelly stick with Darron Thomas or will he go with backup Bryan Bennett at quarterback? I expect to see Thomas start, but Kelly wants his team clicking on all cylinders heading into its showdown at Stanford.
