Derek Belch is a recent graduate from Stanford University, where he was a member of the Cardinal football team for five years. Derek received both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Stanford in Communication and Journalism, respectively. He is an avid (perhaps bordering on obsessive) fantasy football player, and devotes the majority of his weekend time in the fall to watching and anaylzing both the college and professional game.
Slaton is the only running back this year to run for 100 yards against Tennessee, and he did it twice. This kid is for real, and he gets a bottom-five run defense this week at Oakland. He might carry you to fantasy glory.
The Texans’ offense is on fire right now, and I like Houston in an upset this week. My bet is that the Titans put a lot of emphasis on Andre Johnson and the pass, meaning Slaton could find some lanes.
We’ve talked all year about the quarterback carousel at Cal, but in this game it doesn’t matter who is under center. Cal is going to score early and often.
Did you see what Chris Johnson did against the Lions last week? Well, Peterson is no rookie, and every game is must-win for the Vikings. Huge day for the NFL’s leading rusher.
This is the last chance I’m giving Brown to crack my top six. He faces a terrible, terrible run defense in St. Louis and is due to give his owners a big performance.
This is a defining game for a new regime under Jim Harbaugh, and arguably the biggest game for Stanford since 2001, the last year the Cardinal went to a bowl game.
Given how Addai and Lynch had been playing as of late, those were some tough sells. But Williams certainly belongs on everyone’s top six list given his performances this year.
Forte has proven valuable in both the running game and passing game for consecutive weeks. Green Bay got lit up on the ground last week. Eighty rush yards, 45 receiving, two TD’s.
In what could be considered the biggest game of the weekend in the Pac10, Cal heads to Corvallis to play an Oregon State team that begins its biggest stretch of November games in years.
Tomlinson certainly has started slow, but he’s not doing that bad relative to the rest of the group. And there’s plenty of time left to get those stats back on track.
