A 2001 Sports Industry graduate of Ohio University, Heather Matjasic, by the age of 25, had worked with two NFL teams, two division I college football programs, a college all-star bowl game, and ESPN.
Throughout her studies at Ohio University she worked with the football program in their recruiting department. She also interned during training camps with her hometown football team, the Cleveland Browns, in their expansion years of 1999 and 2000. Upon graduation she was the first female hired in a two-year internship in recruiting and football operations for the University of Arizona. In 2003 she was the Director of Operations for Hula Bowl Maui, and was offered a position with the Philadelphia Eagles Player Personnel Department in 2004, the year they made the Superbowl. Heather also worked as a local hire for ESPN on their MLB, NFL, and college basketball games. She now works full-time for ESPN in remote operations, currently on college football.
