Biggs: Redskins take a look at QB Rowe

The Washington Redskins have checked out free-agent quarterback Jeff Rowe in a tryout, according to a league source.

Rowe, a fifth-round draft pick out of Nevada in 2007 by the Cincinnati Bengals, was released by the Seattle Seahawks at the end of the summer. Seattle had signed Rowe off the Bengals’ practice squad last December. He’s a got a big, prototypical quarterback build but no experience in the NFL.

The Redskins are carrying only two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster—Jason Campbell and Todd Collins. Andre’ Woodson is a member of the practice squad, and Colt Brennan is on injured reserve.
