Bills' Wilson says Mario part of 'win now' edict

Much like Bud Adams is hoping to put his eggs into the Peyton Manning basket for a go at the Super Bowl, Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson admitted he did the same thing in landing Mario Williams.

"I'd like to see us make the playoffs and possibly the Super Bowl while I'm around," the 93-year-old Wilson told the Buffalo News. "I don't expect to be around that many years."

It has been 19 years since the Bills last Super Bowl appearance, and 13 years since Buffalo even made the playoffs. But Wilson feels the club is close to being a contender with the acquisition of Williams.

Getting through the AFC East with New England and the New York Jets on the docket twice a year won't be easy, but at least defensively, the Bills appear to be going back in the right direction.
