From Jerry McDonald of The Contra Costa Times: In other developments, Charlie Frye wasn’t the only quarterback who has visited the Raiders of late. Former Cal quarterback Kyle Boller also paid a recent visit to Alameda. Boller spent last year on the injured reserve list of the Baltimore Ravens. He started the preseason opener but hurt his shoulder in a later preseason game against Minnesota. His days were numbered the moment the Ravens drafted Joe Flacco out of Delaware. In 53 career games (with 42 starts) Boller has completed 56.9 percent of his passes for 7,846 yards, 45 touchdown passes and 44 interceptions. Raiders quarterbacks currently under contract aside from Russell are Andrew Walter and free agent acquisition Bruce Gradkowski. The Raiders had no comment about the availability of Terrell Owens, who still hasn’t officially been on the official league wire. Owner Jerry Jones confirmed to NFL.com that Owens has been released.

Frye was on Norv Turner's squad at the Senior Bowl when he coached there as a Raider. Would so love to see him get a shot with Grads and make it truly competitive.
