FROM JOE FORTENBAUGH:
Barring any last-second problems, free agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh will sign a multi-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, according to sources close to the situation.
According to the sources, the Seahawks have offered close to $2 million more than the closest competitor in the race for Houshmandzadeh’s services.
An eight-year veteran out of Oregon State, Houshmandzadeh caught 92 passes for 904 yards and 4 touchdowns in 15 starts for the Bengals last season.
In addition to the Seahawks, the Vikings and Bengals were pursing Houshmandzadeh.
The contract is expected to be signed within the hour.

nice signing by the hawks. a huge improvement by their passing game once Hasselbeck can stay healthy
Championship!
Sorry. It had to be done.
Go HAWKS!!! This signing help's the Hawks make a stride towards a return trip to the Super Bowl.
Great scoop.
Beat Clayton to the punch.
you finally got one right. throw enough to the wall and it'll stick, i guess
Typical ESPN.... Typical PF Crap.... They both ripped the NFP off...
Clayton was almost an hour behind you guys. Great work.
Good move by Seattle. Bobby Ingram was 65 years old.
finally the seahawks sign someone noteable.
Thank God!
Giants may have blew it if they dont pull off a trade for a big time WR.
tj is not a number 1 reciever and he is to slow. not worth 8 million a year. he will break down before his contract is up. watch and see.
great now we are stuck with ocho stinko
Great signing. TJ is definitely the missing piece in Seattle offense. He's a big target with great hands and he's the perfect match for Branch and Burleson speed. He was able to get over 900yds receiving last year with no one throwing the football and "ocho stinko" (great dustin!) driving crazy tons of fantasy football owners with his lack of....everything!!! Oh, and it's clear that Seattle is not going to pick Crabtree and probably they will go with Raji.
