The Denver Broncos released former starting center J.D. Walton with the signing of veteran defensive end Jeremy Mincey.

Walton has started 36 regular season games for the Broncos since being drafted in the third round in 2010 out of Baylor.

Walton spent most of last season on injured reserve and was on the physically unable to perform list for the first eight games of this season before returning to the active roster for the last six games..

Mincey is a former Jacksonville Jaguars starter who has 276 career tackles, 20 sacks, one interception, 13 passes defensed, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Drafted by New England in the sixth round in 2006 before going to the San Francisco 49ers practice squad prior to being signed by the Jaguars, Mincey played collegiately at the University of Florida.
