Browns interested in Jairus Byrd

The Cleveland Browns are interested in bringing safety Jairus Byrd this offseason via free agency, according to a report from NFL.com.

Byrd is set to be a free agent, though the Bills are reportedly interested in bringing him back if possible.

If the Browns are in fact interested in Byrd, it could signal an end to T.J. Ward's time in Cleveland. Ward is also going to be a free agent and could be in the same price range as Byrd.

At that point, it would be about preference. With Browns coach Mike Pettine being familiar with Byrd during his one-year stint as Buffalo's defensive coordinator, it would make sense if Cleveland wanted to go in that direction.
