The Cleveland Browns have been engaging in talks to trade quarterback Brady Quinn and wide receiver Braylon Edwards, according to our own Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post.

Lombardi reports he is hearing from multiple league sources that the Browns have a first round pick on the table for Quinn, but may be looking for more.  Two teams are currently interested in Quinn’s services.

In addition, Lombardi is hearing that the Browns have a first round pick on the table for wide receiver Braylon Edwards and will most likely trade him before the start of next season.

One other note:  Lombardi is hearing the Browns are very interested in Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

Trade Quinn and Edwards for two picks, use their current #1 to draft Stafford and bundle up the two picks they gain to move up and take Crabtree?

Please stop all of the hate against Cleveland. Brady Quinn is a local quarterback and a Cleveland Browns fan. That is one thing a lot of national columnists are not. No one, on a national level seems to like Cleveland anymore. Look, our bitter rival, Pittsburgh won everything last year. There is really no reason to keep kicking us while we are down. Move on. Seriously.

I don't understand, I think they should keep Quinn and get rid of DA. With that they could get two draft picks for DA and possible get two to three for Edwards. That's a total of five picks and you could build the offense as well as the defense.....Plus keep a franchise QB, with a bunch of upside.

This will make the '99 season look like a SB season. What a pathetic organization. The owner needs to go.

The're going to trade Brady Quinn when he's clearly better than Derek Anderson?

I'd be so pissed if they got rid of Quinn for a draft pick. Quinn looked great when he finally got a chance to play and you don't just get rid of a guy like him for a draft pick. I could care less about Braylon...get what you can for him and cut your losses.

Whatevr Brady hasnt even got the chance to prove himself that would be a mistake.

Every move the Browns do at this time is with someone else in mind. They are trying to anticipate others' needs, in trade mode.
