Bruce Arians: Rookie QBs don't have 'wow' factor

Bruce Arians is simply calling it how he sees it.

Though Arizona could use a quarterback given Carson Palmer's age of 34, there aren't any in this year's draft class that stick out in his eyes.

Sure, Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater and Derek Carr have generated some praise during the draft season. But Arians, who made an appearance at an Arizona charity event, told the Cardinals' team website that none of the quarterbacks in this year's class look like sure-fire prospects.

“I don’t know how many of them have a ‘wow’ factor, but there are some really, really good ones, guys that are going to play in the league for a long time,” Arians said. “I don’t see an Andrew Luck, a Ben Roethlisberger or Peyton Manning, but I do see some guys that are very capable of playing.”

Translation: It's unlikely Arizona takes a quarterback early in this year's draft class.
