Chargers awarded Lawrence Guy off waivers

The San Diego Chargers were awarded defensive end Lawrence Guy off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts.

The Chargers cut defensive end Jarius Wynn to create a roster spot.

Guy was a seventh-round draft selection of the Green Bay Packers in 2011. He spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve.

In 2012, the Colts signed him to their active roster. He played nine games for the Colts in 2012 and two more games in 2013. In two games this season, he has four tackles and one blocked field goal, which was returned for a touchdown against Seattle on Sunday. In 11 career games with the Colts, Guy totaled 25 tackles and one sack.
