Chris Rainey tweets he never broke team rules

When training camp opened, Chris Rainey figured to be playing in Thursday night's preseason opener for the Colts, hoping to earn a roster spot.

Instead, he was released, with coach Chuck Pagano saying the speedy running back broke team rules.

Well, Rainey disagrees. Watching the Colts-Jets game on television, Rainey tweeted his unhappiness with what the organization decided to do.

"Yea im [ticked] watchin the colts game when i should be out there too," Rainey tweeted. "Even tho i didnt break no [expletive] team rules, not even."

OK, agree to disagree. But here's where it gets interesting. Before that tweet, Rainey had watched running back Daniel "Boom" Herron catch a touchdown. This appears to be a classic story of two once-pals that are no longer hanging out.

"Nice TD Boom even tho u was in the hallway with me that nite when we was horsing around with the fire extinguisher," he wrote. "Man up like i did."

Rainey later deleted the tweet that referred to Herron.

A bit bizarre, but this is only going to raise a lot of people's curiosity. With Rainey speaking about what happened, it begs this question: What happened with the fire extinguisher?
