STRENGTHS - McGee has the ability to use his hands well to shed blocks, however he does not use his hands consistently enough. He shows quickness & speed for his size and will run up the field to make a play and is a guy that will hustle in order to help out teammates. In spots he showed that he has the strength to move OL off the LOS.
WEAKNESSES - McGee is a very inconsistent player. At times he shows the strength to move guys off the LOS and other times he does not and is inconsistent with his hands. He showed poor body control in a few spots on tape as he stumbled coming out off of the line. McGee has character issues as well. He was suspended for the first 6 games in 2012 for violating University rules and was arrested end of the season for a complaint of DUI and driving with a suspended license.
SUMMARY - McGee showed a lot of inconsistencies in his games in the games that I evaluated. While he showed that he can use his hands effectively to shed blocks he did not do so on a consistent basis. He showed quickness and speed for his size and is a guy that will get up the field to make a play or help teammates out. In spots he was able to show the strength to move guys off the LOS, but again, he does not do this on a consistent basis. McGee also showed poor body control in spots and was seen stumbling out of his stance a few times. Overall, McGee does not show the consistency to succeed at the next level & combined with his off the field issues, McGee's talent level does not outweigh his off field troubles for a team to take a chance on him in the draft, so he will have to try and make a team as an undrafted free agent.
