STRENGTHS - Prince shows the willingness to be physical in run blocks at both the LOS and in the 2nd and 3rd level. He shows a very good 2nd burst of energy in getting in the open field and picking up blocks for the ball carrier. He has very good hands and showed the ability to catch the ball in traffic. Prince has okay footwork and can slide effectively against the slower DE. He also showed solid reaction and the ability push off one block and slide to pick up another block.
WEAKNESSES - Prince runs very slow routes and does not have the ability to create separation across the middle or split the seams down the field. His route running is inconsistent and needs to become crisper more consistently. Prince struggles against the blitz from the LB's as he does not have quickness or the strength to react quickly enough or fend off the defender consistently. Prince had a tendency to get knocked to the ground and will need to become stronger to be able to hold his own.
SUMMARY - Prince can be a physical player when he wants to be, he showed the ability to give the DL or LB a good pop when blocking downfield. He has a 2nd burst of speed that enables him to get down the field quickly when the ball carrier finds open space and he is able to block successfully at the 2nd and 3rd level of the defense. Prince is very small in the lower body, and while he showed the ability to move the smaller defenders off the LOS, he struggled immensely against the bigger DL and also struggled against the blitz as he does not have quick enough hips to react well enough to the LB blitzing. While Prince has solid hands and can catch the ball in traffic over the middle consistently, his routes tend to develop slowly and he does not have the ability to create separation across the middle or split the seam down the middle. Overall, Prince lacks the speed and athleticism to start in the NFL which is why I would not draft him, but he will likely get a chance as a free agent.
