Debate is on whether Suh kicked Schaub in the jewels

Ndamukong Suh has done it again.

It will be up to the NFL to determine if the Detroit Lions defensive tackle should pay a penalty this time.

Suh kicked Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin during the first quarter of today’s game at Ford Field. No penalty was called and you can view the video of the play here on the Detroit Free Press site to determine if it was intentional.

I really don’t have anything to say about that play or that person,” Schaub said afterward.

Suh was not in the locker room when reporters were allowed in similar to what happened when I covered a Lions-Eagles game earlier this season. It is a violation of NFL rules for players to not be available for postgame interviews.

On Thanksgiving last year, Suh stomped on the arm of Green Bay Packers guard Evan Dietrich-Smith and was suspended for two games. Lions coach Jim Schwartz didn’t think it was of significance.

“(I’d) be very surprised if it was anything other than just the natural course of the game,” Schwartz said.

We’ll see what the NFL says.
